The case, in three parts

The problem

The foundation is there. The footprint isn't.

Lend Smart has a genuine foundation: years of earned authority, strong Google reviews, and quality in-content links. What's missing is what converts that authority into visibility: hundreds of state, city, and product pages on a technically healthy site. Capital Home Mortgage built exactly that footprint, and is getting real business from it.

The goal

Top 3 in Google. Top 3 in Google Maps. For keywords with a wallet behind them.

One measurable objective: rank in the top three positions of Google organic search and Google Maps for transactional, high-intent keywords: FHA loans, manufactured home financing, bank-statement loans, by state and by city. Not impressions, not vanity traffic. Rankings at the exact moment of purchase intent.

The solution

Reverse-engineer the proven model. Build it clean.

Capital Home already proved this playbook works for a mortgage office. Run the same model (state, city, and city-plus-service pages, all under lendsmartmortgage.com) without the technical debt that's costing them indexed pages. Technical fixes, page architecture, and consistent links, run together for the fastest results, or staged to spread the budget.

The proof

The model is already proven. If it works for them, it works for you.

Capital Home Mortgage built a serious organic lead engine through local and product-specific mortgage pages. We reverse-engineered their build. The data shows exactly what this model produces, and what it can produce for Lend Smart.

8.6s

Median page load across your site today

Nearly 9 in 10 pages fail Google's speed thresholds. It's the fastest, most measurable win on the board, and where we start.

Lend Smart starts from strength

Lend Smart already holds 430 referring domains, years of earned authority, strong Google reviews, and quality in-content links. The plan builds on that base: technical fixes, local service pages, and internal linking should produce results on existing authority alone, then links add net-new authority on top.

We build it clean from day one

Our audit found inconsistent URL casing, duplicate page patterns, canonical band-aids, and redirect bloat across Capital's site, and the model still produces business for them. Lend Smart's footprint gets built without those mistakes, so every page pulls its full weight.

The plan

Three pillars, one engine

A real lead-generation engine, not just SEO.

01 · Technical

Fix the foundation

  • Repair 1,005 internal links to 404s and 403 redirect links
  • Full sitemap cleanup: remove 145 non-indexable URLs
  • Page speed overhaul: median LCP is 8.6s today, 87% of pages fail
  • Meta titles, duplicate H1s, image compression

02 · Content

Build the footprint

  • 7 centralized service pages (FHA, VA, manufactured, non-QM…)
  • 164 state & city location pages in the first 4 months
  • City + service pages from Month 5 (e.g. /alabama/birmingham/fha-home-loans/)
  • 2 SEO blog posts per month from Month 5

03 · Links

Grow the authority

  • Competitor gap analysis to target proven publishers
  • Quality-filtered: DR threshold + 1,000+ monthly traffic, do-follow, in-content
  • Dedicated outreach specialist & strategist for quality control
  • Consistent monthly velocity: 20 links/month is the pace that gets you past Capital Home

What the page architecture looks like

Every location and service page nests under the root domain (state, then city, then city + service), so link equity flows down and every page stays a few clicks from the homepage.

LendSmartMortgage.com site architecture: the root domain branches into 7 centralized service pages (e.g. FHA Home Loans) and 27 state location pages; each state branches into city pages such as Birmingham, Alabama; each city branches into city + service pages such as Birmingham FHA Home Loans

One thing we ask: consistency. Link authority compounds month over month, and Google rewards steady velocity. Whatever volume you choose, we hold it, because momentum is the asset we're building together.

Why this investment behaves differently

An asset that compounds, not a lead source you rent.

Paid ads are a rental. The day the spend stops, the leads stop. And in mortgage it's worse, since ads for financial products are restricted, expensive, and getting more so. SEO works the other way: every technical fix, every location page, every do-follow link is a permanent addition to a property Lend Smart owns. Rankings earned this year keep producing next year without being re-bought, and each month's work stacks on the last.

And the math doesn't need to be heroic. A single closed loan carries enough value that a small handful of extra closings a month covers the entire engagement. Rankings can't be guaranteed (anyone who guarantees them is lying), but the target is deliberately modest: the investment doesn't need this to work spectacularly. It needs it to work a little. Everything past that compounds in Lend Smart's favor, on pages Lend Smart keeps either way.

Months 1–3:

Foundation & build. Technical fixes shipped, sitemap cleaned, location pages publishing, first links live in Month 2. Deliverables land first; leads follow as the foundation takes hold.

Month 6:

Visible movement. Rankings improving, Google Maps visibility rising, organic traffic climbing, new pages entering the rankings. This is where the curve bends.

Months 7–12:

Compound & capture. City + service pages win high-intent local searches, authority compounds, and we double down on what's working.

What results look like, and when

The first few months take a leap of faith. Every SEO engagement does, until the numbers show up. Here's exactly what you'll see, and when.

Proof it works

The same engine, already running

Different industries, same SEO methods we're proposing for Lend Smart: technical foundation first, clean architecture, content at scale, and consistent high-quality links. Here's what that engine has produced for real clients.

National retailer · 50 physical locations

2.1x organic traffic in 12 months

A premium furniture retailer with 50 brick-and-mortar locations across the US, a business that, like Lend Smart, wins on local visibility. We ran a full technical audit, rebuilt page speed, and protected every ranking through a major platform migration.

Detailed site audit + risk-mapped migration checklist to preserve link equity
Page speed overhaul: image compression, script minification, caching. The same work LendSmart's 8.6s LCP needs
Rankings preserved and visibility enhanced through the transition

Monthly organic traffic · 12 months

80K/mo 170K/mo

+112.5% organic traffic growth

Consumer health brand · Competitive niche

156% traffic growth in 6 months

A dental products brand in a trust-sensitive, competitive market, the closest parallel to mortgage. The exact playbook proposed here: technical fixes, competitor keyword gap analysis, buyer-intent pages first, and a disciplined monthly link-building cycle.

Buying-intent keywords in Google's top 10: 37 → 102 (+175%)
Link building to one priority page drove +139.6% organic traffic growth to it
Impressions +441.6%, clicks +153.5%, organic revenue +18.8% in the following 10 months
Recovered a Google core-update traffic drop: +24% clicks, +33% impression share

Monthly organic traffic · 6 months

900/mo 2,300/mo

+156% in the first 6 months

Enterprise B2B · 71,000-URL site

Technical SEO at massive scale

An 8-figure B2B company whose 71,000-URL site had outgrown its structure. We rebuilt the crawl path, fixed indexation at scale, and aligned content with search intent. Proof we can handle a site expansion far larger than LendSmart's 1,100+ planned pages.

50,700 dead internal URLs found and fixed. The same fix as LendSmart's 1,005 broken internal links
23,000+ canonical corrections; every key page within 3 clicks of the homepage
Organic revenue up 10–20% on an already 8-figure base

Organic clicks · 9 months, indexed

Baseline ~4.0M clicks

+24% clicks · +29% impressions (69M)

Reporting

Transparent monthly reporting

Every month, you get a report built straight from your own Google Analytics, Search Console, and Business Profile — plus Ahrefs and call tracking. The numbers are read directly from those properties, so they’re exactly what Google reports, not our version of them: what we did, what changed, what’s improving, and where the next opportunities are.

Questions

QUESTIONS WE'VE DISCUSSED

Will SEO still matter now that people are using ChatGPT and Grok?
Yes, because AI search still runs on Google's rails. Google holds roughly 95% of search market share, invented the vector-embedding technology modern AI is built on, and for local, high-stakes decisions like a mortgage, people still check Google Maps and still distrust AI enough not to pick a lender from a chatbot answer. Ranking on Google is effectively ranking on AI, and the same work extends naturally into brand mentions and YouTube, both of which AI engines reward. If the landscape shifts, the strategy expands; it doesn't get thrown away.
How will we know the work is actually being done?
Every month shows its receipts: which technical issues were fixed, which pages were published, and which links went live, with URLs that can be checked directly. Nothing in this engagement is invisible; every deliverable is on the site or on a linking site, inspectable at any time. The audit and strategy already delivered is the standard of documentation to expect monthly.
Why not use cheaper overseas labor to cut link-building costs?
Because bad link building doesn't just underperform; it can get an entire site de-indexed by Google, and recovering sites damaged by cheap link vendors is work MonsterGrowth has been hired to do more than once. Every placement here is filtered by domain rating and real traffic (1,000+ monthly visitors), vetted against spam signals, and placed by a dedicated outreach specialist under a lead strategist. The $125 per link is a pass-through hard cost to legitimate publishers, not a margin to be squeezed.
Doesn't it make more sense to fix the site first and build links later?
The sequence already accounts for this. Month one is outreach only: no links go live until month two, by which point the first round of technical fixes is in place. More importantly, the site isn't starting from zero: it already has real authority and strong pages worth linking to, so waiting months to start would just delay the slowest-compounding part of SEO for no benefit.
Why 20 links a month instead of a big batch once the site is ready?
Google's algorithm flags unnatural spikes in link velocity the same way ad platforms punish sudden jumps in spend. And Google won't announce the penalty, results just quietly stop. Steady, consistent volume reads as natural growth; a large batch in one month reads as manipulation. Start at a sustainable pace, hold it, and scale up as results come in.
What does success look like, and by when?
Month three: deliverables, not leads. Technical fixes shipped, pages live, first links placed, all verifiable. Month six is the honest checkpoint: new keyword rankings from the pages built, rising Google Maps visibility, referring domains climbing, organic traffic up, and transactional terms moving into the top three. If those numbers aren't moving by month six, that's a real conversation. No one should keep paying for a line that isn't bending.
Is this a long-term contract?
No. The engagement is month-to-month with no lock-in. The ask is a good-faith six-month horizon, because that's how long SEO takes to show its hand, not a contractual trap. And everything built along the way (domain, pages, content, data) belongs to Lend Smart from day one, so walking away never means losing the work.
What about call tracking and CRM integration for the leads this generates?
Call tracking and CRM routing sit outside this engagement's scope, but they matter and shouldn't wait until traffic arrives. What Converts is the recommended call-tracking tool: low cost, tracks the number shown on Google, and ties calls back to their source. CRM and lead-routing build-out remains on Lend Smart's side, with MonsterGrowth glad to assist in planning it.

How the engagement works

Month-to-month via Upwork. Billing runs through Upwork with full payment protection on both sides.

A six-month handshake. We ask for a good-faith commitment to the first six months, the window SEO needs to show its hand. After that, 30 days' notice to pause or cancel, any time.

End-to-end execution. Development, content, outreach, and link placement all handled by MonsterGrowth. Your team's role is light: publishing support and page QA from Sean.

Full transparency. Every month you get an itemized report: the deliverables that shipped, every link placed, where you rank, and what traffic did. If we did the work, you can count it. We'll walk you through the report format at kickoff.

Upgrade any time. Start with Foundations and add link building in Month 4, or scale link volume up as results come in.
